Dear Brieanna,

We just recently returned from Turkey.  I hadn't seen my father in almost a decade, and missed him.  He had never met Melanie, or your siblings.  It was a wonderful time.  He sent us on a trip to Southern Turkey to a resort town, we also visited Ephesus, which is an ancient Greek city, that was partially destroyed by an earthquake.  The apostle Paul, preached there at the time of Christ.  We sat in the amphitheater where he preached to the citizens of Ephesus.  One of the books in the bible, is a letter to the Ephesians.  We also went to an amazing place called Pamukkale, or the cotton castle.  It is a side of a cliff which has water flowing down it and beautiful calcium salt deposits, and pools. The cliffs are completely white.  It was a popular tourist attraction even in the Roman times. We also saw my brother and sister and their new families.

I wish you could have been there.  Someday when you are an adult, I'll take you to see your grandfather Genco.  It will probably be another 5 to 10 years before, I see him again.

Love,

Dad.
