Dear Brieanna,

I dreamt of you last night. My parents and I were waiting with great expectation for you to come over to their home, but at the same time we didn't want to be let down.  Then I heard a door bell, and ran to the door.  I opened it and there you were as when you left - eight years old.  I reached down and hugged you, and tears came to my eyes.  I awoke and and had tears in my eyes as I contemplated the dream.  The dream was unusual, because normally I never see you in my dreams.  I usually dream that we are trying to meet you, and then the visit is interfered with and we never get to see you.  You've been on my mind more than normal today.  I truly miss you and my heart aches for your loss.

My life is going quite well, right now.  We spent yesterday clearing the yard of weeds, and planning which flowers we'll plant.  I even mowed the lawn, something I don't enjoy.

We discovered a game that we really like to play as a family.  It's called Settlers of Catan.  We're totally addicted.  Asher and Seth really enjoy it, and like to play each other.  It's a bit like monopoly combined with risk.

Brieanna I hope all is well with you, and that you are in good health.  I hope you are getting an education, and that you are independent.  You have greatness within you, and are capable of great things if you have faith in yourself and God.   We miss you, and hope events will bring you back home.

Love,

Dad.
